Hayley Orrantia is an American actress, singer and music producer. Most people recognise her character Erica Goldberg in the comedy TV series 'The Goldbergs'. But, she is mostly as a musician. Music, according her, is the first thing she enjoys. Her first time playing the instrument at the age of nine. When she was 12 the world of music had become significant enough that she was able to begin professional training. Following a few attempts at music, she decided to record her first album of songs at age fourteen. It was the beginning of her career. Orrantia is a native of America and has Hispanic roots. Despite the fact that she only spoke English throughout her childhood and never visited Mexico, Orrantia is extremely proud of her Hispanic origins. In order to maintain the tradition, she's studied Spanish and composed songs using the language. The most famous of these songs is "Hasta Verte," a song she composed in Spanish. Orrantia was a contestant on The X Factor during its first season, in summer 2011. Orrantia got four "yeses" from the judges at the Seattle live audition stage following having been selected from her YouTube entry. While she auditioned initially in a single performance at "Hollywood Week" She, along with three other female vocalists were put into groups for the remaining part of auditions. The group was eliminated at the fifth week during the live performances.
