Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada. She is American. There are more than 20 albums. DiFranco's music is classified as folk and alternative rock but also has influences from jazz and hip-hop. Ani Difranco has been widely considered to be a symbol of feminist music. In the year 1990 she was one of the first people to launch her own record label. DiFranco was born on September 23, 1970 in New York City, York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who met Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Both her parents were both from Montreal origin.
