Zoe-perry
Perry is a Chicago native who was she was born into Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Perry made her debut in the television screen in the role of Jackie Harris, a character which was played by her mother in the ABC sitcom Roseanne. However, her parents did not let her perform until she reached the age of adulthood because of the negative effects that stress could be able to have on their daughter. Perry claimed she felt nervous to be an actor at the age of 16, but she began acting at Northwestern University as a way to make friends after transferring from Boston University. Perry, after graduating from Boston University, moved to New York in search of TV roles. Perry was able to land small roles on TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But, her home-sickness led her to California in search of theater jobs. Perry was a part of Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in 2013. In 2015, she appeared alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning Drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of The Family, an ABC drama The Family in 2016. In 2017, she played an recurring role in The ABC political thriller Scandal starring her father. She was also cast in the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger than Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. The character was picked through an audition, even the fact that she had a deep connection with it.
