Coleman was a Lancashire resident born in the town of Blackpool. Coleman was head of the class in the Arnold School, Blackpool and received straight A's in her A level. When discussing her character from Emmerdale Coleman expressed regret over not attending a university. Coleman was part of a group called In Yer Space at her school. The group performed Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. The show was awarded a prize to her for the show, and the production itself received a favorable reception. Coleman was chosen for the Emmerdale character Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with drama schools. Coleman received two nominations in the year 2007. She was named Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In 2009, she was awarded nominations in two categories: Best Actress-Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference in 2012 that Coleman will play Matt Smith's partner after Karen Gillan left. Moffat chose her due to the ease with which she worked alongside Smith, and that she was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her work in the industry since 1987. She has appeared in numerous films and TV projects. She has however had a greater presence on television than in films. Of the many roles Eva has appeared in on television shows, Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and the detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two that are the most notable. In fact, the role as the character Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children earned her two Daytime Emmy nominations. This allowed her to showcase her music creativity. Alongside being an actress, Eva is also a charitable philanthropist, as well as an entrepreneur. She has been married three times with a daughter by her second partner.
